Stuart Margolin Dead: Emmy-Winning Co-Star of 'The Rockford Files' Was 82.
The Rockford Files co-star and Emmy-winning character actor Stuart Margolin has passed away. He was 82.
Family relatives announced Monday on Instagram that Margolin passed away in Staunton, Virginia, from natural causes.
Margolin first appeared in two Blake Edwards films, S.O.B. in 1981 and A Fine Mess in 1986. He is most known for his portrayal as con artist Evelyn "Angel"
Martin on the police drama series from the 1970s, for which he won two Emmys.
The Hollywood Reporter said that he also rose to prominence as a television director.
The star of The Rockford Files, first worked with Margolin in Nichols in the early 1970s as a "sidekick who was a shifty-eyed,
backstabbing rat, but nevertheless adorable," according to Garner's 2011 autobiography, The Garner Files.
